NYSTEC Volunteers with Habitat For Humanity

back to news

ALBANY— On September 13, 2024, NYSTEC employees rolled up their sleeves and set out to work in a different setting.

The crew volunteered with the Capital District Habitat for Humanity to install fencing in Albany along the rear property line of what will become ten new townhouses, while excavators began digging out the foundation nearby.

In past years, NYSTECers have worked on houses in Albany for the Sheridan Hollow and Morton’s Walk projects, and in South Troy. Former tasks have included cleanup, painting, fence-building, insulating, drywalling, and framing.

NYSTEC is dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work and is proud to offer staff paid time off for volunteer work. We look forward to our next opportunity to get out and make a difference!
