New York State decides to establish a company to help leverage the technology and expertise at the Air Force Research Laboratory (Rome Laboratory) to benefit New York State businesses and government entities in the wake of the scheduled closure of Griffiss Air Force Base.

1994

New York State Technology Enterprise Corporation (NYSTEC) opens for business in Rome, NY – with three employees. 

1995
Albany Skyline

NYSTEC officially incorporated. With the passage of a bill in the New York State Assembly, NYSTEC becomes the vehicle through which New York state agencies can access Rome Laboratory resources.

1996

30 employees at 75 Electronic Parkway in Rome, NY.

1997
100 State Street building in Albany, NY

NYSTEC opens an office in Albany.

1999

NYSTEC Albany moves to a larger location at 100 State Street.

2002

NYSTEC Rome moves to 52 Geiger Road.

2004
First NYC office building

NYSTEC opens an office in New York City.

2005

NYSTEC New York City moves to a larger location at 40 West 37th Street.

2008
Rome headquarters at 500 Avery Lane

NYSTEC Rome moves to 500 Avery Lane.

2009

55 employees. NYSTEC Albany moves to 540 Broadway.

2012
