In an emergency, every second counts. That’s why NYSTEC was hired to help Ulster and Dutchess counties improve their 9-1-1 operations and to find new, collaborative ways to communicate when a crisis hits.
We discussed this project during the 2024 New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC) Legislative Conference, where we shared our innovative approach to exploring interoperability. Attendees also learned about potential state funding opportunities to improve their county’s public safety communications.
Special thanks to New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) Commissioner Jacqueline Bray for joining the discussion and to Dana Smith and Everett Erichsen for joining Matthew J Campbell, Mark J Connor, and Mark Romano, PMP, on the panel.
NYSTEC was proud to sponsor the event.
