ROME— Over 50 small business owners were at NYSTEC for an opportunity to network with one another and have a Q&A with Mayor Lanigan.
This was all a part of the copper city connect event put on by NYSTEC, Empire Apex Accelerator, and the Rome Chamber of Commerce.
The goal from this networking event was for small businesses to have the opportunity to find supporting resources.
Kevin Owens, NYSTEC CEO said, Rome is our home so we felt this was really important to do.
“We really do think that small businesses are sort of the lifeblood of the country. We were a small business at once when we started. We had a 12 people, and we have been able to grow through these connections through these cooperative agreements. We believe in providing these opportunities to other small businesses and helping them grow at large,” said Owens.
