NYSTEC and hundreds of people paid their respects at the annual Wreaths Across America ceremonies in Rome and Saratoga, New York, honoring the fallen service men and women of our country. In Rome, NYSTEC personnel and others braved the wind and snow at St. John’s Cemetery to say “Thanks” to the deceased veterans and place the wreaths on their final resting places. In Saratoga, NYSTEC joined the commemoration at the National Cemetery to honor our fallen military veterans. A record 7,000 wreaths were placed at the Saratoga cemetery, enough to cover more than half of the grave sites. The Wreaths Across America event touches 1,200 cemeteries in the U.S. and overseas every December. NYSTEC’s donation for this year’s events came to $4,650.00, allowing us to sponsor a total of 310 wreaths between the two locations (Rome and Saratoga).
