About the Senior Consultant – Senior Project Manager
As a senior consultant – project manager in the Policy and Program Strategic Solutions Practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today’s ever-changing healthcare landscape. NYSTEC is considered a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise and connecting the dots for our clients. NYSTEC has consulted on some of the largest Medicaid initiatives and served in various roles across a multitude of New York State healthcare technology systems.
Your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will include supporting the Office of Health Insurance Programs’ (OHIP) Division of Data Services and Analytics (DDSA). As a project manager, you will provide project planning, coordinate work efforts, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and lead stakeholder communication to support our client’s strategic initiatives portfolio.
For this role, you will be required to attend in-person meetings at the client site at a minimum of once every two weeks and at the NYSTEC office once a week.
Key Responsibilities: Senior Consultant – Project Manager
Overall, in the role of senior consultant – project manager, you will:
- Create key project documentation.
- Plan agendas and schedule meetings.
- Update presentation materials.
- Capture meeting minutes.
- Organize action items, risks, and issues.
- Assist with project quality management.
- Track project timelines and progress.
- Prioritize projects and competing priorities.
- Work closely with the project team and external stakeholders to ensure that key project milestones are achieved in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications: Senior Consultant – Project Manager
Candidates applying for the role of senior consultant – project manager should have the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
- Strong writing, documentation, communication, and analytical skills to meet project goals.
- Experience as a project coordinator or project manager.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated organization and planning skills.
- Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and understand their needs through excellent listening and effective written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications: Senior Consultant – Project Manager
- Experience working on information technology projects.
- Experience working on healthcare projects.
Education and Experience: Senior Consultant – Project Manager
For the senior consultant – project manager role, candidates should have the following education/experience:
- A bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
