About the Senior Consultant – User Acceptance Test Lead

The user acceptance test (UAT) lead will play a crucial role in ensuring that software systems meet our clients’ needs and expectations before they are released to end users. This position involves leading the UAT process, managing a team of UAT testers, coordinating with project stakeholders from multiple business areas, and ensuring that products are tested in a real-world scenario to identify any potential issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work closely with both technical teams and end-users.

Key Responsibilities: Senior Consultant – User Acceptance Test Lead

Overall, in the role of senior consultant – user acceptance test lead, you will:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive UAT strategy that aligns with project objectives and timelines.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of UAT testers, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to testing protocols.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure that the UAT plan effectively addresses them.
  • Design and develop test plans, test cases, and testing scripts based on business requirements to effectively capture user scenarios.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions, guiding users through testing processes and capturing feedback.
  • Identify, document, and track issues discovered during UAT, working closely with the development team to prioritize and resolve them.
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of test scenarios to validate functionality, usability, and compatibility with existing systems.
  • Report on UAT progress, outcomes, and metrics to project stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing UAT processes and suggesting enhancements to testing strategies, tools, and methodologies.

About You

Required Qualifications: Senior Consultant – User Acceptance Test Lead

Candidates applying for the role of senior consultant – user acceptance test lead should have the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

  • Five years of experience in software testing, with at least two years in a UAT or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience with software testing tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and analysis in collaboration with stakeholders and the development of business requirements.
  • Experience with software requirements testing, including building and executing test cases, verifying test results, and compiling documentation.
Preferred Qualifications: Senior Consultant – User Acceptance Test Lead
  • Experience in agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools and techniques.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and database management systems.
  • Experience in government healthcare, Medicaid, Medicare
Education and Experience: Senior Consultant – User Acceptance Test Lead

For the senior consultant – user acceptance test lead role, candidates should have the following education/experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology/systems, or a similar discipline and four years of related experience. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., International Software Testing Qualifications Board [ISTQB], certified software testing engineer [CSTE]).
  • Project Management Institute professional in business analysis (PMI-PBA), certified business analysis professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
