About the Senior Consultant – Business Analyst
As a senior consultant – business analyst, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today’s ever-changing landscape. NYSTEC is considered a trusted program advisor, providing subject matter expertise and connecting the dots for our clients.
Your day-to-day role as a senior consultant – business analyst will include assisting clients with improving business operations complemented by the acquisition and implementation of new information technology for their organization. This may include several activities, from helping to determine strategy through eliciting and developing requirements, to documenting processes and to-be states, assisting with technology procurements, and ensuring the successful deployment of new systems.
Key Responsibilities: Senior Consultant – Business Analyst
Overall, in the role of senior consultant – business analyst, you will:
- Perform project management responsibilities as a project lead or in support of a project lead.
- Perform organizational and environmental analyses and identify political, policy, economic, technological, and social impacts.
- Develop current-state assessments.
- Elicit and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Perform feasibility analyses.
- Develop recommendations and implementation roadmaps to improve clients’ processes, to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Develop key technical documentation or diagrams.
- Develop recommendations and strategic approaches for our clients.
About You
Required Qualifications: Senior Consultant – Business Analyst
Candidates applying for the role of senior consultant – business analyst should have the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
- Experience with basic project management – scope, project planning, schedule.
- Experience with software development life cycle activities to manage, plan, design, implement, test and deliver information systems and strategies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and to understand their needs through excellent listening and effective written and verbal communication.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications: Senior Consultant – Business Analyst
It would be helpful for candidates applying for the senior consultant – business analyst role to have the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
- Certified business analysis professional (CBAP) certification.
Required Education and Experience: Senior Consultant – Business Analyst
For the senior consultant – business analyst role, candidates should have the following education/experience:
- A bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience in business analysis. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
