Directions from Syracuse & points west: Head east on the NYS Thruway to Exit 33. Merge onto Route 365 East (a right turn after the exit), which becomes Rte. 49 within a mile of the Griffiss Business & Technology Park. The park is about 12 miles from the Thruway. Take the Griffiss Park exit to Rte. 825.
Directions from Albany & points east: Take the NYS Thruway to Exit 31, Utica. After the toll booth, bear right where it says “Rome - Genesee Street North.” Follow the signs to Rte. 49 and West 790. Take a quick right at the traffic light onto River Road East, and another quick right onto the ramp for West 790, Route 49 and Rome. You are now on West 790, parallel to the Thruway. Get into the middle or left lane. Follow the signs for “W, 49 Rome.” After approximately 10 miles on Rte. 49, take the Griffiss Park exit. The exit ramp goes two directions, so make sure you bear left.
Once you’re in the park: Proceed down Griffiss Parkway (Rte. 825). Continue straight though the traffic circle at the bottom of the hill, remaining on Rte. 825. When the road narrows to two lanes, look for Avery Lane, a left turn just before the AmeriCU Credit Union. A sign at the entrance to Avery says “Griffiss Professional Complex.” Take a left onto Avery. The NYSTEC building is behind AmeriCU on the right. It’s a light-gray building with sky-blue trim in a small business development with similar buildings.
