Radio Communications in Buildings – NYSTEC engineers designed a sophisticated solution to provide clear and reliable radio communications inside every building of a massive new urban office complex. A large agency that manages regional transportation and building infrastructures hired NYSTEC to provide the comprehensive design. This planned complex will comprise several high-rise buildings exceeding 700 feet in height. NYSTEC’s communications specialists incorporated sophisticated design elements, the most important being antenna control centers known as headends that would provide high communications reliability and survivability. NYSTEC’s complex design incorporated the synchronized use of distributed antenna systems, headends, and an extensive fiber-optic network.
